Marangu Hotel

The Marangu Hotel sits in 12 acres of beautiful tropical gardens on the slopes of the towering Mount Kilimanjaro. The main hotel building, once a farm house before its conversion, hosts the restaurant, bar and lounge areas as well as reception, while guests are housed in the attractive cottages spread out through the grounds of the old farmhouse. Each cottage has its own ensuite bathroom providing hot and cold running water.

The Marangu Hotel boasts a swimming pool in which to either get some exercise before your Kilimanjaro climb or to relax after. There is also a croquet lawn! The Marangu hotel has its own vegetable garden so almost all of its produce is (extremely!) locally sourced, and the restaurant also serves home-baked bread. Providing a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the Marangu hotel is an excellent place to base yourself before you climb Kilimanjaro!
