Northern Circuit -> Serengeti National Park -> Lobo

Lobo

Lying in the northern most section of the Serengeti National Park, the Lobo region is one of the less visited areas. Well known for both the seasonal passing of the migration and the high density of lions, Lobo is well worth a visit, especially for those who wish to get away from the beaten track.

It is advisable to time your visit to Lobo with the annual migration, which passes through the area on the way to the Masai Mara of kenya every year in October or November. At this time, the acacia scrub and woodlands and the open savanna areas of Lobo are literally teeming with wildlife, as thousands of animals move slowly northwards in search of grazing and water. One of the natural wonders of the world, the migration is a remarkable sight, and Lobo is the perfect place to observe.

The other aspect of the area is lions, for which Lobo is famed. While there are prides throughout the Serengeti national Park, Lobo is known to have many, and therefore the chances of a good sighting is a strong attraction for many visitors.
