Climb Kilmanjaro, Meru and Oldonyo Lengai
For very fit clients who are happy to spend a lot of time under canvas this is a true challenge. First you ascend Mt Meru, then Kilimajaro and then Lengai. Climbs are done in this order to give you acclimatization before Kilimanjaro and stamina for Lengai. Meru is the easiest climb and Lengai the hardest if you discount the affect of altitude. This is because of what you a walking over.
Meru can be climbed in 3 or 4 days depending on your fitness levels. There is a large amount of choice on Kilimanjaro from very short 5 day climbs to the longer 7 or 8 day routes with more chance of success. The choice of route is yours depending on your fitness and experience. Oldoinyo Lengai Takes 2 days including getting the base of it by Lake Natron. Please note that Lengai may not be climbable due to eruptions which do occur periodically as it is still an active volcano. In fact it is the only active carbonite volcano in the world.
This program is designed as a challenge for fit groups of people - whether you are climbing for personal pleasure or to raise money for charity it will be an unforgettable experience for all concerned. MK Safaris works with each group to design the most appropriate program to suit the individuals.
